Six years ago, Calais's infamous Jungle migrant camp was demolished by French police. Today, the camp itself has gone, but the migrants and the smugglers who profit from them remain. In fact, they are more numerous than ever before, with a record number of people attempting to cross the Channel in August 2022. The situation is putting a strain on relations between France and the United Kingdom.

People have to learn that criminals comming in to your country do not any rights to be looked after

I find it incredible that the French can’t stop for the flow of migrants with the money we pay them. Why can’t the immigrants claim asylum in France. Or in Morocco for that matter.

Low birthrate and high migrant influx.
Two catalysts for irreversible demographic shift.

Thank you France, you don’t police your shores so we have over a million people a year entering a country that can barely deal with the people in it already.

It’s all about benefits. France blame Britain as migrants know they will receive best benefits in UK. If we stop this it will gradually stop people smugglers & this insane dash from up to 60, 000 per day across channel in suicidal overcrowded dinghies.

There are 30 year housing waiting lists in the UK, shortage of medical treatment. I would love to live in France, I know some English that have moved there. Buying homes and working, Brexitt or not. There is not a joint effort to resolve the issue.

What can you conclude about a people who, when reporting on this situation, always begin with “it’s a dangerous journey?”
You conclude that Europeans are psychologically unprepared to save themselves.

These economic refugees should all be sent out on a safe auto pilot, well equipped ship where they can sail the seven seas and live upon the ocean as sea gypsys, harvesting the bounty of the oceans I'm sure they would do well for themselves, and be safe from terrestrial dangers.
