Wasn't better, wasn't that bad neither. It really depends on your perspective, altho I would use u-sub here because I like it more than foil

Its faster to do u sub I just did it in my head in a second. I try to avoid foil because its just tedius work.

Never really understand when to use the u so I'll use foil whenever I can

it basically takes the same amount of time to solve so doesn't really matter
I personally prefer using power rule so you don't have to deal with a cubic in the end
