I think this music makes montages of this crash seem better and more funny. The beauty of crash physics. Needs more angles

That cardboard on the metal actually makes the vehicles crumple less making them wreck worse, which is a good way to do this test. We need a impact bar mounted there too

That’s a Taco. Their necks snap so that’s scary to watch as a nurse!

they should just remove the belt for the rear passengers. They've got a comfy chair to smash into in front of them.

I really don't like how this feels more like a social media stunt over a scientific test. This feels like its in fast motion for the music. I really prefer the old non-shorts version of normal speed with live sound, then slow-motion. This feels more entertainment driven than research driven.

@IIHS, when will you have the crash data on the new 2024 Tacoma?

I would say to the kid. “Your gonna feel a slight tingle in your neck you’ll be ok :D”

Tacoma is so unsafe because it has a strong non crushable frame with a flimsy impact bar mounted on the end of it. Also a plastic bumper cover with no corner protection. The new 24 Tacoma is 30% safer as it has a heftier/crusherable impact bar that has metal extensions going to the ends of the bumper cover, but it is still unsafe and has a long way to go. It needs a second impact bar down low and replaceable bolt on aluminum frame rail ends- the last foot of the steel frame needs to be bolt on and made of aluminum, with the impact bars(preferably upper, middle, and lower, mounted to that with arms bolted to it.
