War is never simple or black and white and is one of the most horrid things we as humans have ever practiced throughout our history.

In this scene of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3 Episode 10 "Heroes on both Sides", Ahsoka meets and speaks to Mina Bonteri, learning more about the supposed duality of the Clone Wars. She quikcly realizes that separatists are not all bad as she used to believe and the Republic is not all that good.

Even though many people complained about the portrayal of Politics in the prequels, especially The Phantom Menace, one can't deny they always were big part of Star Wars. Clone Wars expanded on Geroge Lucas' ideas, diving deeper into prequel story beats.

"I just can't believe the Republic would target Senator Bonteri. She was the only one willing to stand up for peace."

Padme, you just raised and answered your own question.

Intergalactic WW1, in terms of loss of life, property, and that everyone loses with no idea why they fought the war in the first place. Well, except for one man, that is...

The clone wars was indeed, the galaxy's darkest hour.
At least with the rise of the Empire and the Galactic Civil War, the galaxy was united against a common threat. The clone wars? No such luck.

Unlike Coruscant, Raxus looks quite beautiful and peaceful

There are good people fighting for what’s right on both sides of this war

I wish more Americans watched this episode in particular. Right or left we should realize there are heroes and villains on both sides.

War kills people who don’t know each other by other people who know each other very well.

Mina Bonteris comment at the start... countering Ahsokas comments and thoughts of Separatists as bad guys many of the "Separatists" feel the same about how the Republic feels about them.... one side sees one another as the bad guys and yet in peace times or day to day really not much different to one another

The thing about the Separatists that always rubs me the wrong way is the extreme dissonance between the Separatists supposed goals and morals and the actions taken by their droid army and military commanders. Every Separatist you meet always likes to blame the Republic for everything, and then you turn around and they're firebombing Twi'lek villages. The Separatists may have a point about corruption within the Republic, but too many of them let the atrocities happen for far too long. And to be fair, that's kind of the point. The entire war was instigated by warmongering corporations with the intention of profiting from the conflict. I think it would have been nice to see more Separatists be a little more curious as to what is really going on, trying to act as war reporters or something. It would really highlight the width of that divide.

Wait so if the separatists just didn’t attack planets they could have left peacefully

I get the feeling that Mina’s husband was setting a base on neutral territory doing something for Count Dooku and was either a war criminal or was a pawn Dooku sacrificed. I just wonder what Mina doesn’t know what her husband was doing on Argonau since the Separatists military doesn’t exactly have a great hospitality record or the fact that their forces attack neutral worlds?

There are good and bad people on both sides of wars most of the time and tbh, I'd probably side with the confederacy over the Republic, the Republic is heralded as the good side and yet they're the side that used a clone army bred for the sole purpose of war to fight their war, basically a slave army, the supposed peacekeepers of the galaxy led a war for one side, the confederacy was a culmination of worlds that wanted to leave the Republic after believing it to be corrupt and rather than dispute these beliefs properly the Republic basically chose war instead kinda proving their point.

Funny how much of an actor Dooku was. Almost like our politicians!

Bring on more clone troopers. It was spose too help but all it did was kill the Jedi with order 66 dam stupid order cause the clones worked so good with the Jedi & too have them turn their blasters on the backs of the Jedi was so wrong.
