There are so many barbies that I want. I have 220 on my want list, and 90 items in my Ebay watchlist, and a monthly spending budget. So sellers don't feel bad if I don't jump at your discount offer! I have much deliberating to do! And there's a lot of competition. I overspent last month, and it's really hard to decide.

Have you seen it? Quick question, do you think it sells better if I display the clothes on a doll, a doll mannequin, on Barbie hangers, or flat lay? Does it matter? What’s your preferred method?

I received a 1994 doll out of box which was in immaculate condition, in a small padded ENVELOPE from another country!! I was shocked lol. Luckily it survived and wasn't damaged in anyway. People, for the love of dolls please use strong boxes if selling overseas. Thank you!

If I were to calculate how much I make hourly selling Barbies it’s probably less than $1 an hour. Sourcing, cleaning, dressing, photography, listing, storing….its a ton of work. I wouldn’t do if I didn’t enjoy it and I’m collecting for myself. It’s a lot of work.

So that last part you mentioned about opening the dolls, I'm actually the kind of buyer who will pay a couple bucks more just so that I can have the experience of unboxing it myself. It takes me back to that feeling of being a kid again and opening that shiny new toy. It's just so much fun.

I really wish international post wasn’t so darn expensive. Everything good is in America. Australia eBay for Barbie Ken etc especially vintage furniture and clothes sucks. I can’t afford the international post as a buyer. 😢

Instead of using a steamer you should get synthetic wig conditioner spray. Heat can make the dolls hair icky sticky over time from glue seepage.
100% acetone is great for removing stains but it will also remove the dolls makeup/paint sadly. Acne treatment is a better way and safer but it takes a day or two of treatment.
If you dolls have slight chew marks or dents, boil after dipping them can help smooth the plastic out ❤
I have a ton of tips myself as I have been a doll collector for over a decade and also customize and bring old damaged dolls back to life and would happily share my tips with you if you ever wanna chat ❤

My thrift shop is trying to sell fashion dolls for $8 a piece. It use to be $1 - $3 a few years ago. And sold prices haven’t gone up that I’ve seen.
