I love how Mei Mei Mother went through an emotional rollercoaster.

From Offering her Daughter a snack, to checking her notebook and finding her "Art" then being Disgusted, then in anger confronts devon then leaves feeling bad for her daughter.

The mom showing the drawings was bad, but the friend just pointing out who specifically Mei was, *knowing* her mom was gonna be involved in whatever confrontation was about to go down just felt straight up cold

The part where Ming looks through Mei's journal gave me flashbacks to when my mom would do surprise backpack searches and found a piece of paper where I wrote the word 'sex', was mad and showed it to my dad, who also got mad. I got grounded for two weeks. I was like 8.

And my brother also does so, he even says it out loud in public. It is embarrassing.
