Come to the U.S.A. Girls get their learners permit at 15.5 years old and their drivers license at 16. One girl in our squadron got her private pilots license at 14 - before she even had her driving permit. She now flies for 31st Nevada Air Rescue. Love your channel, by the way. Glad you escaped.

Hyekeung Ahn is so beautiful, intelligent and full of courage. I could watch her all day. I have so much respect for any soldiers, but admire women in the armed forces so much. I am a teacher, and I was teaching twenty years ago on 9/11. I had so many students, so many young women, join the military after that and in the years following. I am so proud of all of them. It surprised me then because it was unusual. I had many young men go onto the military but rarely female students. Now it is common. Every new generation comes with so much promise to do what those before them could not. Very inspiring to see women pilots, engineers, doctors, soldiers, mothers, police officers, vice presidents, prime ministers--everything. Women can do it all!

I'm Canadian, two of my closest friends hold nontraditional jobs. One is a dump truck driver, and the other is a race car driver.

Always love these videos. Shows how people who never had freedom appreciates freedom more when they have it. Many who are born and raised with freedom don’t appreciate it.

I hope she can experience every dream she can dream with her new found freedoms.

Love from Denmark, Europe
I really like Ahn Hye-Kyung’s videos.
She’s so positive and openminded about the “outside” world from a North Korea point of view but without slandering the past. That was just the way it was. I really hope that she can get a good life in South Korea or where ever she chooses to settle down.
A fine ambassador for a free North Korea.

"19th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, High Altitude Airdrop Mission Support Unit, execute high altitude, low open (HALO) jumps"
These are female battlefield medics who parachute from an altitude above 10, 000 feet, hence the oxygen masks; and open their parachutes when very (!!) close to the ground.
I do not need to point out just how badass that actually is, right?! Wish NK women in the military could see this...

For the female engineer profession, I'm just thinking "All these people are legitimately so much smarter than I am!... With no second though as to their gender. Just "Damn people better at my job than I am!!".

This lady is just amazing. Her spirit and mannerisms are infectious. I've subscribed to her channel and watched several videos. I have no clue what is being said or what's going on, but the way she expresses herself and the excitement she brings, it's so addictive that I wanna see every video she's in.

You are so interesting. I'm glad you are in South Korea and able to do these videos. I was in the US Air Force and was an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic for 3 years then cross trained as a Legal Services Specialist.

Wow you can tell by the way she ALWAYS says that she was in EXACTLY 8 years 4 MONTHS THAT SHE EARNED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF EVERY SINGLE DAY! I LOVE seeing her videos pop up! She’s so sweet, when you’ve been through hell, THATS NOT EASY. Xx

These videos always amaze me. I feel so much sadness for what N. Korean citizens have to go through. I hope after this pandemic, many more will have a stronger chance at getting out.

I'd love to send one of your guests a box of goods from America! Definitely let me know! :) I'd be honored.
