I am a motorcycle rider of many years. I can not understand why some other riders pass vehicles in built up areas while they ride very fast.
Slow it down guys, trouble will come your way soon enough, dont look for it.
At 13:00 the two guys on the bikes are unfairly treated i believe. The middle age guy in the car that the cops and gave the sob story is a tool.

S5.5 Projections. A helmet shall not have any rigid projections inside its shell. Rigid projections outside any helmet's shell shall be limited to those required for operation of essential accessories, and shall not protrude more than 0.20 inch (5 mm).

I have not yet found a case where this issue was challenged in court.


that gopro is illegal and the officer was articulating that. The rider is not required to identify unless he is arrested however (not just detained), as California has no "stop and ID" regulations.

6:47 The riders analysis of the law is totally wrong... Where it says Manufacturers name is a completely different section of the law than the part about projections from the helmet. The section on projections is clearly marked as S5.5 . Below that are two sections on labeling, S5.6 and S5.6.1. Under that is a list of things that need to be on the label, Item (a) is the Manufacturers name. That refers to the name of the manufacturer of the helmet and the fact hat it must be listed on the label affixed to the helmet. Auditors and sov cits like the guy in that clip are idiots with no reading comprehension skills.
