This is epic advice for the diehard analog enthusiast, I dont think it will ever die tbh, so much joy comes from this craft.
You mentioned about finding ahanducam, I could not believe I managed to find one, I picked up my fist analog handy cam and it's Incredible! Goodwill had it with every piece of hardware, and...I found a rare piece of history stored on one of the tapes, I'll share it one day, when I get the time to transfer the tape to digital.
Best filming purchase to date and I've used DVD Handycam since 2010 and I can honestly say, a phone can not compare with how much fun they are to use.

if you have mac quicktime and or obs, you dont need this fancy immersion rc powerplay. you just need a rca to usb converter

Great video! I love using old camcorders, but i usually shoot on tape and capture it onto my PC via a capture card after the fact. It does take more effort but it's a cheaper way of going about shooting vintage footage if you're on a budget.
