All I want is a current version of my PJ430V (or pictured CX405) camcorder. Its 30x optical zoom & balanced oss stabilization beats any phone zoom, but the 1080p60 and 1/4" sensor show its age. A simple refresh with 4K60, portrait orientation metadata, wifi, manual exposure, UVC webcam support, and USB-C charging would win me over instantly. Like a ZV-E10 feel but as a small-sensor camcorder.

I have a CX405, but since I’m in a PAL country, I’m stuck with 50fps. Really hoping Sony drops a firmware update to enable 60fps like the NTSC version. It’s 2024, we shouldn’t be dealing with region-locked fps anymore

I have an abomination of camcorder technology that you guys made (hdr-ux20). It records onto dvds (which can be hd formatted), internal memory, and memory sticks. I say abomination as a compliment because it’s so insane yet so beautiful.
