Parents sue 30-year-old son to get him to move out

An upstate New York judge Tuesday ordered a 30-year-old man to move out of his parents' house after they went to court to have him ejected. Michael Rotondo told the judge he knows his parents want him out of the split-level ranch they share. But he argued that as a family member, he's entitled to six months more time.

What troubles me is all the judging going on in the comments - both of the kid and of the parents. I have a 26 year old living at home because she has major social anxiety issues and can't get a job. I also have a 23 year old who lives in town and is a full time college student who I wish WOULD move back home to save money but he wants to be independent. The point is, it is hard to know all the circumstances. People judge me and my daughter a lot because she is still at home, bur guess what? There is no cookie cutter right answer.

There is no problem with kids staying at home. But they have to work, help pay bills, and clean up after yourself. There are many countries where kids live at home. And in the past children stayed with their parents till they got married.

Reading these posts amazes me, this isn't a liberal or conservative problem it's a economics problem, back in the day my parents bought a new home and it's cost was roughly equivalent to a year's pay, when I bought my first home the same held true, then Ronald Reagan took the price of housing out of the cost of living formula, saying it was a investment, homes today anywhere near a thriving economic center cost $700, 000 plus while wages have remained flat since the mid to late 80's, that being said this guy looks like a free loader . I have allowed my two children too live at home as long as they are getting a education and working to save money to buy there own homes, bottom line though is the top percentage of people are making hundreds of times more than the rest of society this must change or the vast majority of the working class will change it for the elite
