For all non-Germans: It's a stereotype that all German words are long. But...! Our grammar allows us to stick as many words together to form another word as we want, as long as it makes sense. So technically.. yes, we can produce very long words :) Too bad, that the industry often use such exaggerated long words.
So the short version of these paper notes would be: Ersatzzettel (i.e. replacement notes).

As someone who is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, I find it almost impossible to learn German.😭😭 While I have learned some words and sentences in this channel, I still struggle with the pronunciation. Kudos to Carpenter for achieving such milestone. He’s definitely German now.

As a half German i never buy new Zettelkastenersatzeinlagen because they are viel zu teuer. We can use the backsides of old used DIN A4 Paper, cut it exakt nach Augenmaß and use it for the Zettelkasten.
