"Motion blur's a vibe" is a understatement.

It's a pity that film prices are hiked by unscrupulous sellers recently.

I would say that was a pretty good explanation!

When I was in high school had a photography assignment that dealt with shredder speed and experimented with motion blur. Since I happened to have support for the camera I actually did a panning shot of a friend on a bicycle.

Another thing I've learnt, as a beginner, is that "generally" the shutter speed can be directly related to focal length to eliminate shake from your hands.

So if you have a 50mm focal length, any shutter speed greater than 1/50s is more likely to show hand shake without a tripod.

It's not universal, but a good general rule of thumb to decide when to brace the camera/break out the tripod.

I just got a k1000 and can’t wait to start shooting on it!

I want to play with shutter speeds and motion blur a good subject matter is a waterfall. I would use a tripod for the slower shutter speeds. Many photographers photograph waterfalls at slow shutter speeds supporting the camera with the tripod so rocks and other not moving objects in the scene will still be sharp.

Next, open the back and make a less simple version showing the moving slit and the full frame of exposure at and under the sync speed.

Your shutter speed should not be under the fucus length, when hand holding.
50 mm. not under 1/50 sek
100 mm. not under.... You get it....
