Anyone not spending the $3-4, 000 to completely protect your car in 3m clear film is just wanting to spend $10-12, 000 on a new paint job from all the rock chips that you get out on the road today. It was the best investment I did to my 2012 335i M sport.

…like other comments have mentioned, PPF front-end will alleviate the paint chip issue…as for the brake system, apply ceramic coating to the wheels along with using pads that reduce brake dust (I.e. EBC Redstuff, Akebono Euro/ACT, Fiction Tech). There are many maximum performance tires that can solve your 1st world problem.

Got the same problems paint wise on my 2015 BMW 428i coupe. If you want less dusty pads, get the akebono ones

If you’re so lazy to clean brake dust on your rims or what, get yourself a ceramic coating on your rims or upgrade to ceramic braking system, every car do produce brake dust, keep that in your mind bruhh simple things

Those issues aren’t specific to the M4 after dropping $60, 000, your first stop
Should’ve been to the detailer for ceramic coat, and clear bra.. brakes and tires always needs be upgraded..

in 2015 my dad bought a used 2013 series 535I for 50K! and it had about 40k miles on it ran brand new fixed up modified but in early 2017 he hit about 100k miles and it started breaking down and the rims started deteriorating and he had to get them replaced often and the insurance company stopped helping us because we had to fix it so much and then early 2017 came around he traded it in for a fucking 2013 Cadilac CTS and he hated it and in 2021 he got a ram 1500 which he still has and loves

You can get low dust ceramic pads that work with the steel rotors and calipers. They make next to zero dust and perform great.

Paint protection film worth it. Just repainted my bonnet and added the film. Resprayed the bonnet twice in a year as the rock chips were too deep. Or wrap it if you don't do paint protection film.
