Higher density of volume without sacrificing intensity is the holy grain in training.

But there is a reason why achieving this balance has been historically problematic—When you alter one side of this delicate equation (volume, intensity, and rest times), something on the other side has to be compromised.

We know that straight sets won't help us here. And many other elaborate rep schemes and intensity techniques pay very little mind to the inherent trade-offs that come with manipulating these training variables.
