2024 4th Gen Tacoma Stock Tires vs Aftermarket

preview_player
Показать описание
We're taking the stock BFGoodrich Tires and TRD wheel off and putting on some after market wheels and tires!

We're putting on 33" Falken Wildpeak AT4W 285/70 17 with a +38 Offset Black Rhino Fuji Wheels. This is probably the best fit you can go with, if you absolutely don't want to modify anything else.

Just put this exact tire/wheel on my 24 trd off road. Leveled it as well. Looks awesome! Also sold my old tires/wheels easily on the Tacoma 4G forum.

Looks sick! I’m jealous of these 4th gen owners running 285/70r17 with no lift. 2nd gen owner here with a 2.5” lift and I still get rubbing on a 275/70r17.

What about running a 275/70r17? Would that require any kind of lift? Reason behind going 33" tire or bigger?

What was the over all hight of the truck to the Xm radio fin, after the aftermarket wheel set up.

how much did this cost to do 33" Falken Wildpeak AT4W 285/70 17 with a +38 Offset Black Rhino Fuji Wheels?

The rake is so that it's level when you're hauling a load. If you level it while empty, it will be doing the Carolina squat when loaded.

Doing serious research on wheels atm and I think you just help me make a decision on size specs . Although, with this spec 285/70/17 would you say safe for over landing ?

I thought a negative offset makes the tire stick out? not a positive one.

He says +38 when I think he should be saying -38? Genuine question

What is the weight difference per wheel/tire with this setup vs. the factory set up

You mentioned you get full articulation with this tire set up, does that mean you get full suspension travel up and down without hitting anything? or just articulation as in turning.

Tell me about the 1.25” front level he mentioned in the video, didn’t catch the name.

Looks great. Just did this myself with BF Goodrich KO3s but Black Rhino sent the wrong lug nuts that won't fit the 4th gen. What lug nuts did you use?

Nice video, however what nobody is mentioning is that you can’t fit a larger tire between the frame rails in the stock spare tire location. I have seen photos of the trail hunter with the larger spare tire hanging much lower than the bumper, to the point that the spare is the first thing to hang up on in the rear.

Either Toyota or the aftermarket will need to come up with a solution for carrying a spare tire

This is the same exact wheel and tire combo that we’re all putting on the third gens with a simple leveling kit. That is going to provide better than factory suspension anyway. B-5100’s
