Fixing the Lights in my LEGO TRON build!

Lots of progress to cover today! The faulty lights have been replaced. The roads are basically done. The buildings are rising!

i like it. i'm curious, is there any way something like Lego's old light bricks plus a few fiber optic lines, from the technic sets like the helicopter or the race car, would help with the lights, not needing so many wires? i was thinking about it, after seeing the bundles of lights in the corner, especially since i know how hot fairy lights can get, if coiled like that for too long. the fiber optic lines, don't have that problem, because it's just transparent plastic, like what's used for windows. an added benefit of the lines is, they come it a verity of lengths and the light bricks come in, a whole rainbow of color, so it's easy to pick which one is used for what thing. i know their available at the same places, that sell things like technic sets, like mind storm. there's one set that's a robot, that has a whole lot of extra parts, so it's okay to use them for something like this. it's the robot crane set, it comes with a control panel and the lights are controlled with buttons, pressed by little buildable robots. whats cool about that, free Lego mind storm pieces, like gears and wheels, as well as a bunch of rubber bands. this sort of thing, is what i would use, if i had the space and budget for a sci-fi city build.
