Much of the Depression-era footage in this video is drawn from the 1936 documentary, "The Plow That Broke the Plains." Brilliant re-purposing. Saw Son Volt at First Avenue in Minneapolis earlier this year. Great show.

A day or so before the official release WXPN of Philadelphia played this song. By the end of the first verse I resolved to go home, find it, learn it and begin singing it. It's been rough going the last several months, and songs like this remind me that there is still hope. Great work! Thank you so much for doing it. I hope, selfishly, that there's more like this coming. This is the first I've seen the video, and it's a perfect companion to the song. Well done.
