How to Wrap a Tangle-Free Extension Cord

Tangle-free extension cords increase efficiency and prolong the life of the cord. Here’s one way, borrowed from the world of crocheting.

For daily use just get a extension reel.
Another way to wind up cords is one turn left and one turn right. Thus you avoid the cord twisting. Its like a folded figure "8".

You could already see the internal wire is twisted and deformed inside the insulation. This will reduce the life of the cable and decrease the current capacity over time.

That's how all the cool guys do it! Now, if you want your cords to last, just loosely loop 'em. Try to avoid storing any cord under tension. Whether it's an extension cord, rubber hose, or your IPhone charger

There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to wrap an extension cord like this.

Goodlord don't do this to that kinda cable please. Do an over under or maybe anything else, but a crochet/slip
