THE FASTEST WAY TO LEARN HOW TO OLLIE TUTORIAL

The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young, you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.

I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.

My dad just caught me doing the scrapping part. He yelled at me and said he'd never buy me shoes again. I think I'm doing it right

One thing people don't talk about. Your board has to be weightless before it pops. That way when you drag your front foot and lift your back, there's nothing keeping it down. Bend your knees, jump and right before your feet leave the board, pop. That's where the timing comes in for the most part. Jump, pop and right before you leave the board, pop. You wanna start popping as you straighten your legs at the last part of the jump. Then slide your foot until your nose stops your foot. I guarantee you'll get your Ollie faster if you think about it like this. Remember, no weight on the board. JUMP!

Wow! You broke this down the way I break down piano practice to my students. I really appreciate the steps and the time durations. I just picked up a board after 30 years of not skating, because my girls want to learn how to skate. This is very helpful, as I’m no longer a spring chicken. Lol

Aaron isn't kidding when he says you gotta get comfortable just riding around on your board. I started skating one summer ago and I decided to just take the entire year to ride around, turn, go fast, go slow, balance on one foot, so on and so forth before ever trying to Ollie or do any tricks. It made an absolute world of difference, and now in my second year skating I'm learning to Ollie.

I think one thing you forget is that at 4:25 when you actually do the Ollie your foot never plants into the floor like the practice step, it never even touches the floor. That’s what I had to realize after learning from your Ollie videos. Especially since planting your foot seems to mess up or at least for me messed up my back leg coming up

Before I started watching Braille I was hopeless at doing an Ollie. I practiced for months! But after I watched this vid, I finally picked up my board and I managed to do an Ollie within three days of practicing! So amazing how one video can change your perspective on skateboarding.

LIFE TIP: I was doing the steps, popping and flicking, and still wasn’t getting my back wheels off the ground.

If you’re new, bend your knees more and crouch, that’s what helped me. I landed my first Ollie in 2 days because of that.

I've literally been practicing on my skateboard everyday from 3 o'clock, to 5, or maybe 6 o'clock if I'm feeling productive. I wanna take a step further to increase my training so I can do more fun things with my skateboard since I adore skateboarding.

I've notice when people are first learning to Ollie, their back foot stays down way too long after the pop. Which we all did when we were learn. But then when you finally get that eureka moment and it all comes together! I remember popping and getting my back foot up in the air as quick as I could as my front foot was dragging my board through the air. Or something like that. Its hard for me to put it into words. That was 1984. We didn't know what a helmet was. Lol "Not the first Try!"✌❤
