Snow is a rarity here in the southeast US so I only use my Dakota disc on sand. Good for finding leftover sandcastle moats!

i love your outfit!! the dakota disk must be really helpful. ofc i’m not blind (i’ve got different disabilities), but i love educating myself because the disability community is so diverse. hope you have a great christmas!!!

Before I got my Huju tip (invented and produced by a blind man here in the UK) I used the Dakota when hiking in the countryside (dirt paths, woodland, grass) and at the beach (sand, pebble, shingle) but it was a nuisance as I had to stop and swap canes when I walked there and home because of the pavement and roads. The Huju is marketed as all terrain and mostly is (think elongated pencil tip bent in a similar shape to a ice hockey stick) it’s not as good as a Dakota in snow, longer grass, or deep leaf litter.

I have never tried one but I use a rolling ball tip unless in the summer at the pool I use a marshmallow roller that seems great for MN weather in the states

Thanks for showing, would be good to have here, in Scandinavia, we have a lot of snow just now. I really tried to order, some of your cards, but for some reason PayPal, gave a limited amount of delivery options, none of which were free, and it costed more than, the cards, not your fault. I never tried a Dakota Disc Cane 🦯 tip ever. I’ve always used the white marshmallow tip. It does look like a UFO or medal detector, ha ha! I have two Canes that I use. One is slightly shorter (or my spare.) The other Cane is taller and up to my height. I use the taller one when I walk Zeke just doing a casual Dog walk together. I would like to try it out! 🦯 And make a video about how I feel about it. I’ll look for one on the Ambutech website.
