You are right. The second car to me is the ERAY! Hybrid cars don’t make loud sounds from the exhaust. It’s a ERAY!

That was a good observation. You do hear the sound of some motor as it goes by but it was very quiet and I’m not sure if the car going downhill might’ve played into the subdued engine noise. Nice work. Cheers

With electric motors being added that will drive up costs some. All the performance variants should be well priced. The eray should have a full ev more most hybrids do

Makes sense now about the cars being seen with exhausts on the outside and middle from before in a previous video. I recall a different rear spoiler as well. I thought that they should have had other models testing as they have to do it sooner than later to get some time on them. I have wondered if any could have turbos for the future ZR1. They need to get those on the road. Supposedly, someone crawled under the cars to see that those with middle exhausts did not have turbos however it was stated on that other site that all cars were thought to be Z06's despite locations of the exhaust. I had trouble with that idea. The car thought to be the E Ray is so quiet and after passing the sound I hear with a shift certainly sounds to be coming from the Porsche up ahead. Good news that the E Ray will definitely be wide body. I wonder how long before the DOHC Z06 style engine will be available as a crate motor.

Okay, I was dead set on the Z06 because of the flat plan engine. However, I always said if they make the E-Ray a wide body I want the E-Ray. I'm building a 3 car garage as we speak and I had the electrician put in a 50amp for a charging port, just in case I get the E-Ray. 70% sure I'll go with the Z06 with a Z07 package, but after seeing the E-Ray... I'm on the fence AGAIN!!! General Lee Out!

E-Ray in eco mode 0-45 mph electric mode then gas engine kicks in where its most efficient, track and sport mode all power AWD

I disagree. Those are not LT2/Stingray tips and they match the tips from the leaked CAD of the Twin Turbo. I think that was the direction they were going in regard to tips, but didn't get the frequency resonance they wanted on the FPC. That's why we've seen the hacked up bumper with the center tips and now a more finished bumper in the last year. I think that's an earlier Z06 mule and the exhaust is just set to stealth or tour both of which are that quiet in my Stingray. If they have a completely different ICE for the E ray then that possibly could be but would be counter intuitive on typical GM production cost savings.

Im starting to wonder if the Z06 will be twin turbo. It seems pretty quiet for what it is. Also, GM made the side intakes alot larger than the base model and it looks like the front radiators are larger with the addition of a center mounted radiator. Seems like the reason to do that is to add intercoolers. Why do all the extra cooling for a smaller N/A engine compared to the 6.2. Just my .02.

I'm supposing that the E-Ray will be like the SF90 you can drive with only electric motors for a couple miles, or you can drive it in the hybrid mode which the E motors work Combined with the Internal combustion engine.

Z06 will be offered with light weight performance center mounted exhaust. The standard corner exhaust still will be offered. The one with low wing will be tested on autobahn for straight line acceleration and top speed. Eray testing project just started on USA and I don’t think it will be on Nurburgring because the car dynamic is not designed for track use.

I'm not a fan of electric cars as of now, but with the inevitable electric takeover I'd love to have the option to go full pushrod or full electric at the push of a button. This would make the eray the perfect daily driver with great mpg and the awd capabilities.
