Dude, he had been setting up that play from the start. He finally managed to draw the ultra rare card, "Legendary Groin Puncher", which he traded his soul for. There's no way he was going to *not* play it.

I remember one time I was playing MTG with someone
I had been defeated. My opponent had more than enough creatures to kill me that turn.
But instead, they decided to kill me slowly. After all, if I started getting too powerful, they could just finish me off.

Anyway, I won that game.

I love the idea that he had this ridiculously long turn just so he could inflict physical damage on top of the emotional damage the other guy felt.

there needs to be an alt ending where the opponent drags it out so long that the other player draws his wincon and makes a comeback.
