3 Ways To Trade A Market Gap. How should we trade on gap up and gap down days? How are gap up or gap down opening prices in the stock market decided? Gaps aren't necessarily just on stocks. Officially, a market closes, next day bell goes and market opens. If the change from open to close is 2% we have a 2% gap up or down. However, we also have Sunday night gaps with forex but we also have gaps with indices. These may gap when you consider the cash session. Here are three ways we can trade gaps. I have found a strategy that works very well for me: I've set an alarm that triggers when a Stock achieves a Relative Volume of 1 during the premarket and the max Gap Up-Prev Close is not more than 20%.
When You see the figure You may see like an horizontal spring.
In that situations You may put a Buy Order just above the EMA in the 5 Minutes view. 
The price pops up impressive. Sometimes above 100% in just 2 hours or less.

gap usually means sudden unexpected news appearance, there might be quick absorption and price go back or long term panic and price continuation, I usually rather stay away from the market

Someone should answer this simple question: At what level is the gap considered filled (when price hits the previous close, the wick of the final candle or the previous days hi/lo) ?

As i swing trade options i will be in trades that will gap up and gap down etc because swing trading involves keeping trades open for days and weeks or month etc espiciallly swing trading options as i do etc you dont need to worry about the gap up or fap down as during a swing trade youll for a few weeks etc youll see a few gap ups and a few gap downs etc its to be expected in swing trading its about price etc eg closing the trade when it has made enough profit per day during the course of the length of the time you kept the trade open before the option expires and automatically closes the trade etc that is if a person swing trades options obviously
