Nice video Nathaniel! We covered this too in our 'top 5 expressions for AE' video. I would suggest enabling motion blur too and adding a slight wiggle on the rotation as well. I've read some articles about using the warp stabilizer to actually get some sort of 'parallax' effect in the fake camera motion, making it very realistic.

I was really hoping for something more advanced than this, like how to ACTUALLY fake handheld footage. Wiggle looks really fake but even more so it is SUPER easily identifiable. The way I do it is I record something random, high contrasty just for reference then motion track that footage and create a null object, after which I delete the reference footage and then link a camera to the null, and applying it on the desired effect footage. Much more convincing result (since the motion is real and not a simple wiggle expression) but also way more time consuming.
