Incredible tutorial! I’m going to use this effect for our conference when creating speaker reels with:
•Canon XA55 (4K)
•Insta360 One RS 1” Leica Edition (6K)
•Insta360 X3 (5.7K)

This editing trick you shared can make it look like all 3 cameras were recorded handheld instead of each on a tripod!

Thanks so much for this tutorial and the tips in how to adjust all the settings. Is there a way to save all the configurations so I don't have to keep changing it every time I add this effect to a project?

Awesome tutorial. Many years ago I bought the animated movie "Surf's Up". I was immersed in the movie. It was not until I watched the special features that I found out why. They employed an amazing strategy for making it look handheld.

This is very interesting. I am attempting to shoot a music video of myself and this looks like a very useful feature. Do you have any more examples where this effect has been applied? Thank you!

Great job with the effect. I have seen some hand held effects that look mechanical (could almost time the movements). And, I have tried to stabalize a hand held shot which didn't turn out well.
Thanks for pointing out the settings.

Nice. Thanks for the post. And ... and in most things: Less IS more... .
Stay safe out there ... and remember: get them before they get you. Cheers, Chuck (N.E. Florida) : +)

7:49 No, don't delete the settings, press CTRL-C on the initial clip, ALT-V on the final clip, that's copy-paste effects.

This is SUPER helpful. I will definitely be trying this out in future videos. Question: Is it generally a good idea to introduce some movement into all of my shots—be it slow zoom, pan, or subtle handheld?

Thanks Jay, I think I can use that! I don't think I'm getting notifications from you for some reason ....very strange

Great work. Benefited a lot from this video.

I have a small request:

Can you make a tutorial video to teach how to do opening a 3D book till closing a book?

I am trying to create a memorial video with photos and videos using book flipping effects

Thank you in advance

I thought that was really cool how you turned the dark horse into a white horse and then into a kitten. When you dragged the adjustment clip on, could you have just pasted the plugins attributes again, so you didn't have to redo all the settings? Too bad Resolve doesn't have some presets on this control for shake - small, med and large would get people to what they want a lot quicker and tweak from there.
Good video Jay. I am not a big fan of camera shake but done subtle like this, I agree it takes the security type footage and makes it look more natural.
I have also used it a few times when tracking a camera movement on a composite ( green screen ) it helps sell the move.

Sterling bit of intel right there, thanks for showing us how . Those dual method pro tips are gold as well . Side note ..your delivery seems so effortless with a unique cadence that really works well, it's very genuine and authentic . If you're ever looking for new video topic, maybe tell us the secret of how you do that . Cheers my friend .

In this vid you have some background music that sounds like it coming for the room next door.... Is the volume just low with the base turned up? How to you do this? Thx

This is awesome but I'm finding it doesn't work on the vertical videos I'd like to format for, it tends to move the actual cut of the shot. Are there different settings you suggest for vertical videos? Thank you

I was literally recently wondering how some of the YouTubers I watch create this effect on what is clearly a camera on a tripod. Thank you! Is there any comparable way to do this in Premiere Pro?

In your opinion is it better to stabilize a handheld shot or use the technique you showed here on a static shot to get the same subtle look.

There is no Power Bins after 18.1 anymore so this tutorial won't allow me to save this effect.
