In an interview with NPR's Steve Inskeep, President Obama said "there are real problems with how we are electing our representatives." He said political gerrymandering results in more polarization in Washington, which makes it harder to get things done. He also decried the influence of superPACs in political campaigns.

Watching this whole presentation really points up the difference in styles of this president and others and throws into great relief many of the recent criticisms of his administration. Neither I nor anyone else can say just what will happen in the next 4, 8, 12, 16 years but I do know that we are in a much better position to deal with whatever comes up due to the way this administration has handled things for the past six and a half years.  This man picked up the ball and moved things forward, in a year and a half it will be the next administration and the next congress to keep things moving forward.  We will just have to see how that goes.

To put it simply: You can buy an election if you have enough money, and that's not cool.

It's a shame that this wasn't pointed out earlier.

Of course he does, as this prevents him from becoming a dictator.

Wait, Steve Inskeep is handsome?? Has no one told him that he doesn't have to hide out on public radio with a mug like that? Also, I know the economy is not fully recovered, but don't you think they could have spared a few bucks and turned the lights on for this interview?
