I find the search for habitable exoplanets is as silly as expecting there to be a source of clean water on the bottom of the Marianas Trench. It could be found someday, but it is an unreachable goal that only feeds the children of researchers and academics. The search for unfed children would be a reachable goal that should be achieved so they can eat as well as astronomers.

With trillions of planets around trillions of stars in trillions of galaxies, there are probably many.

I literally could care less about the other planets.

Lets say it takes 10 gigajuuls of energy to terraform a mars, from 0 percent habitability to 100.

Why, in gods name would we not simply use a fraction of that to terraform Earth back up to100 percent?

“As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.”—Psalm 115:16.

Im not 100% sure thats true. Aren't there plants which are in the habitable zone closer in size to earth? Wouldnt that be a bit closer in terms of earth than mars?

We need to go to venus first for commercial reasons. Mars will be better for habitation, certainly, but venus has more to offer when it comes to everything else.

Not habitable. . Study a lil more on its core.
