I Tried Kratom For 60 Days - Here's What Happened

Kratom is a tree. The leaves are used as a recreational drug and as medicine. Kratom is banned by some states in the U.S. due to safety concerns.

When taken by mouth: Kratom is POSSIBLY UNSAFE for most people. Kratom can cause many side effects, including tongue numbness, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, need to urinate, constipation, aggression, hallucinations, delusions, and thyroid problems. Kratom in large doses may cause trouble breathing, brain swelling, seizure, liver damage, and death.

Kratom can cause dependence when taken regularly. People who use kratom regularly and then stop taking it may experience decreased appetite, diarrhea, muscle pain and spasms, twitches, watery eyes, anxiety, trouble sleeping, anger, hot flashes, and fever.
Special Precautions & Warnings:
Pregnancy: Kratom is POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth during pregnancy. Babies born to women who have used kratom during pregnancy have experienced withdrawal symptoms. These babies required special treatment for addiction.

Breast-feeding: There isn't enough reliable information to know if kratom is safe to use when breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Alcoholism: People with alcohol dependence who use kratom appear to have an increased risk of suicide compared to those who use kratom but are not dependent on alcohol.

Mental disorders: In theory, kratom might worsen existing mental disorders. Also, people with mental disorders who use kratom appear to have an increased risk of suicide compared to those who use kratom but do not have a mental disorder.

Kratoms done the opposite it vastly improved my life... i work more.. i sleep better i eat more i dont use alcohol i quit smoking... i pray.... Kratom helps alot ive tried everything on earth im Shocked that they hid this from us for so long

Is not meant to be abused specially everyday, just 2 or 3 doses max a week and keep the dosage medium/low

The literal only negative effect I had on Kratom was it being habit forming. It worked miracles on my depression and social anxiety. As someone with a high libido the lack of a libido was a blessing. 😂

I used to love Kratom. Took it for about a year daily. But months after starting it, I started noticing that my skin was just so dry. My hands looked like the Crypt Keeper. It would give me a boost of clarity and happiness for about an hour, and then would slowly fade into anxiety and brain fog, which wouldn't go away till my next dose. I know a lot of people love it because it got them off more dangerous drugs, but I can't say I think it's harmless. Coming off Kratom isn't easy, either. There ARE withdrawals. I weaned myself off and I feel and look much better.

What kind of kratom are we talking about? I use red kratom for pain. The effects are much different than a white or green. I’m guessing he used white kratom since it tends to give you more of an energetic feel.

My sleep is absolutely terrible when I take it. And I get a headaches, but yes in terms of sex drive, no desire.

Kratom made me wake up because I’d start experiencing minor withdrawals about 6 hours into the night so I’d dose a gram or so to fall back asleep, gets pretty annoying having to do that everyday

Five years later, I'm SO ready to be off this crap. Yes it's great at first, but bleh. I don't even take that much or try to abuse it. Legitimately helped me for what I needed, but just doing it for nothing and being dependent SUCKS. I'm realizing it could be causing some of my health issues as well. It's untested, unregulated, and full of all kinds of who knows what, pesticides, many alkaloids and compounds we don't fully know about or their effects. It's a very drying herb as well, my body feels so dry, from my skin to my fascia. Time to regenerate.
