My mother has lived 7 years after her prognosis of death, she was diagnosed stage four renal cell carcinoma, she used the medication SUDENT or sutent which has prolonged her life, she is only now having trouble since the chemo no longer works and her bilirubin counts have gone off the chart and has caused some brain dis functions and even though it has spread to lungs, hips and other places this medication has worked and kept her alive for a longer time than anticipated. She IS the longest survivor of renal cell in her medical facility in CA. thank you for the information. 9 years today diagnosed, and still LIVING.

This is a great lecture and easy to understand. I was diagnosed with RCC 9 years ago and had a radical nephrectomy and was free of cancer until last year. My RCC returned but in my lungs. I started Keytruda and Inlyta in 12/09. After 3 months of treatment my tumors have shrunk by 50%. I am very optimistic and so is my oncologist

I have stage 4 renal clear cell carcinoma. I have had 9 hours altogether of surgery. The surgery DID help. After I healed I have felt great most of the time. My problem is I feel so good usually that I overdo it. I plan to live every day enjoying this wonderful ordinary world. God be with you all.

I was generally pleased with this until 29 minutes into this video, in which the patient is shown to have a large tumor with multiple lung mets. The thought is that this patient might not be offered a nephrectomy as there are too many mets for surgery to benefit the patient. That was my case nearly 12 years ago, with a large mass, 100s of lung mets and at a time with only one FDA approved therapy. That is high dose interleukin, which is given in the hospital, and revs up the immune system in som percentage of patients.
Though Dr. Kim mentions other immune therapies, interferon alpha, which was never FDA approved for RCC, though is in combo with Avastin. Re Interleukin 2, stimulating the T-cells, approved at high doses, he mentions that turning on the immune system 'artificially', he calls it an extremely toxic therapy. It is, however, a highly monitored hospital setting, many can benefit. I was 56 at the time, not a 'young' patient, and continue to be well today. Studies show that a health 60-70 years old patient can be safely treated.

Can you please let me Know Why there is no Data for PH levels in Cancer Patients that are first diagnosed, then if Patients that are in Spontaneous Remission the PH levels for people to build a picture that may assist in diet and cure, I have contacted about 7 organisations that do not have any data available and I find this very strange. something that is so simple to do and we do not have this information you have to ask what is being hidden from the public

What if a person had RCC 4 yrs back and sacrificed one kidney and again have same RCC in another kidney but in Renal Pelvis tube sized 3.5 cm. Is partial surgery possible anywhere in world as in Delhi surgeons are not sure for success with partial and radical is dangerous in his case as he is aged 60 only

They are much kinder to people on death row then us sick people with stage 4.
Death row people are nicely put to sleep, we got to lay and suffer until the monster
finally kills us going through hell before the last breath comes. I am truly suffering
death would be a blessing.

I wish to apologize to all here for my bursting. If my Mother was here right now I'd get an ear full from her. It's so easy to place blame where none should be and remain blameless for things they don't deserve to be blamed. Maybe someone else's Mother can be saved now that it is able. Beg forgiveness and Pray all you the Merriest of Holidays.
