Holiness is not something we can achieve on our own—is it a grace we ask of God, and he promises that he will grant it to us. But often, the first step is acknowledging your weaknesses, accepting their existence, and handing them to God in total surrender.

Thank you Fr Mike and Sr Miriam for this video. I have struggled for years on and off with scrupulosity, and even during my good days I struggle to cope with the knowledge of my weakness and past sins and failings. I often feel so bad and ashamed for struggling to believe God forgives me. I always try hard to believe it because I don't want to doubt Him. I have decided to start the Ascension Advent course and for the first time in ages have journalled in prayer after the first video. I have hope that this will be a fruitful season of life. God Bless You Fr and Sr..the Holy Spirit truly touched my soul as I now believe Jesus loves me in my brokenness..I truly love God with my whole heart and soul, yet I'm so, so imperfect. I prayed at mass today for help with my issues and I saw this. I will keep trying every day to be better for God and do His Holy Will. I truly want to become holy in the eyes of the Lord through his Grace and Mercy. I was brought to tears over this clip.

Very uplifting. I lost my Mom Christmas morning 2011, her absolute favorite holiday.
On that day, I felt as if I had lost both of my adult children as well because she and my Dad raised them....and we still remain estranged.
My Prayers each year, and especially this year because I returned to Catholicism, my chosen childhood religion that both parents supported because of parochial schooling. My adult children were raised Catholic but chose to be Baptist just like I chose to be Catholic.
Praying that love, kindness, and the power of the Holy Spirit take full reign over our hearts, and we will once again be a family. Amen.
