Incredible! I learned of the Eldorado Broughams when I was in my late teens. I own an original car catalog from 59 with every car world wide produced that year. What a years of BEAUTIFUL cars!
But this Eldorado was league of it's own. I was a huge fan of finned cars as I still saw them cruising down the streets when I was a litlle kid.
Being in Switerland American cars were a thing for the rich and famous:
But seeing the 59 Caddies, the 59 Imperial, (a friend owns one), the 59 Dodge models, of course the bat wing 59 Buicks and Chevies! WOW! WOW! WOW!
Later I found out thet the 57 and 58 Eldorado was even more stunning. A friend RIP found out that one was for sale in Switzerland. Twice he would travel for hours twice just to see and touch this vehicle. We were teenager at the time and we had no cash at all. That year we found a 1960 Cadillac for sale. Maybe the most beautiful Caddies ever made even topping the 59s.
By the way I was born in 1960. Once a 57 Eldorado Brougham showed up at a car meet. It was absolutely spot on and like band new. The owner used to work for GM Switzerland. We had a GM plant in my neighbourhood and many cars of different brands were assembled there. The build quality of those vehicles was very good.
Later on I found out that the guy who owned and had restored his black 57 Eldorado Brougham owned a second one!

Cool video and a great gathering.
I wish I still had my '55 60 Special; nicest car I ever owned.

Seeing what great cars were at this meet is incredible. Thanks for sharing it with us! I love the 41. One of my favourite Cadillacs of all time.
If I was a few years older I might die of a heart attack from excitement seeing so many stunning vehicles in one spot.

The 1960 Cadillac Convertible is actually a Series 62... later changed to DeVille Convertible from 1964 to 1970. The 1959 and 1960 Eldorado Brougham were very heavy (about 5, 300 lbs) partly due to the sheetmetal which was hand beaten on wood forms and soldered with large amounts of lead.😮

This is a sensational car...so glad most of the production run is still accounted for! It looks like the offspring of a 59 and 60 all together. So cool!

I actually drove a 59 Brougham when i was younger and long before i bought my own 58 Brougham! While driving it, y friend and i noticed that the windshield was HUGE especially, coming up overhead! The automatic level control for the rear malfunctioned and when we stopped to check out the car from the outside, almost the complete rear tire was exposed!! It was a fawn brown in color and a very attractive car. It didn't carry the optional hood ornament though. I almost bought a 59 ornament on eBay but decided I didn't need it as i had bought a few extra Rolls-Royce ones for my 59 Cloud II...

I have never seen one of these cars. It's pretty impressive.

The 56 Caddy de Ville is my favorite. That grill is beautiful, and the big Hedy Lamars.

I have been a member of the CLC club for over forty years and I believe this is the first '59 or '60 Eldorado brougham I have ever seen that was painted gray. All I have seen previously were painted black or possibly some other dark color.

Peak for Cadillac later on they got cheapened out notice how much wood the blue eldorado at the end has inside and it's real not plastic.

Thanks for taking us along on your inspection tour. The 59 Eldorado Brougham is very nice. There certainly were a lot of very nice Cadillacs there and a few "off brands". Did they actually get invited or was it a "crash?" I sure liked the Grey 1953(?) Cadillac with the tan convertible top and the beautiful red leather interior. I like your choice of music at the end and I just subscribed.

The car is a Pinin Farina design and presaged the ‘61 Cadillacs in some ways, especially the greenhouse. I believe the window behind the back door window also glides down (power window). Looks like a great show.

Thank you for a great video. Just one correction, the 1960 convertible was just a Series 62, not a deVille.
