I feel like it would be like batman meeting his parents killer, where shadow forgives him after hearing the whole story, and growing as a person.

Edit:The reason why i think this is because this is kinda how he acted in sa2 after knowing the full story about maria, where he grew as a person.After he knew the whole story he actually changed and wasnt edgy anymore, he was just broken.And i hate the fact that even though sa2 and marias death is canon sega acts like shadow NEVER grew as a person, and just stayed edgy.

The GUN solider who killed Maria actually did showed up in Sonic X. It’s actually a very chilling scene. Gives me some Batman and Joe Chill vibes from this.

If you watch the intro to the Shadow the Hedgehog game itll show a part where a GUN soldier has been knocked down on the ground and Shadow looks down on him with a furious look on his face probably meaning that he was the one that killed Maria so that definitely means that soldier is already dead

If he showed up in shad gens I see it going two ways one they put him in white space a cutscene play where Shadow is minding his own business probably talking to himself about the level you completed being familiar to then have the GUN solider show up probably saying "Have eyes on the ultimate lifeform moving in." Shadow looking over annoyed taking a second to realize that he's looking at the man who killed his best friend basically sister right in front of his eyes once realizing who he is Shadow starts skating each push he puts more force into until he is basically boosting over to him saying one thing "You'll pay for what you've done!" The GUN soldier seeing this starts backing up his gun drawn yelling "MAYDAY MAYDAY ULTIMATE LIFEFORM INCOMING REPEAT HAVE A HOSTILE APPROACHING FAST NEED BACKUP NOW!" Once closed in Shadow kicks the gun out of the soldier's hand causing him to fall back Shadow pissed off his eyes spark red with his doom powers showing. Dooms eye shows up encouraging Shadow to make the soldier pay for what he's done while Doom is saying this Gerald and Maria notice what's going on Maria seeing Shadow angry wanting to calm him down runs towards Shadow getting in front of the solider unknowingly protecting him Maria manages to calm down Shadow. Dooms eye goes away and the GUN Solider would either be with Gerald and Maria in white space basically protecting them when Shadow is handling everything or would just be in the cutscene. Two Shadow hunts this man down to beat his ass and stop the events from happening on the ark but fails to catch him at the last second this would be one of black dooms Illusions he would probably say something like "Join me Shadow with the Black Arms power you can lay waist to the ones who have taken everything away from you." And "Give into the Black Arms power Shadow without it you won't be able to save them without this power you won't be able to SAVE HER!" Knowingly messing with Shadow during this part.
