I grew up going to a Christian school the first 8 grades. After saying the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer our first class was Bible study. Every day. I don't remember learning about the saints coming out of their graves until years later. Maybe because it was only mentioned in the Bible that once and no one had the answer to the questions it raises. It'd be interesting to know who the saints were. Noah for one? That would make sense since he was the only person God found righteous enough to save he and his family from the flood. I can't imagine how anyone witnessing Jesus' crucifixion and still not believing Jesus was the Son of God. I doubt the centurion was the only one that came to believe that day. Maybe the only one to declare it out loud. How many living today would become believers if we witnessed the death and resurrection of Jesus?

I know this is about events immediately after Jesus' death, but I believe it is important to note that; one thief/criminal being crucified was filled with the Holy Spirit and recognized Jesus for who He is. While I do not know if the criminal believed in Jesus before he was hung on his cross, he knew that Jesus was going into His kingdom. Only the Holy Spirit could have revealed this to him, and I count it as a miracle.
