So far I have only encountered such questions when entering the USA. Mainly the officials wanted to know what the purpose of my trip was and how long I intended to stay. That was it. The Australian officials never asked anything, just took my passport, entered something into their computer system and that was it. In Canada I had to enter a few details into a machine, then the machine gave me a piece of paper which I then handed over to customs. I never actually spoke to anyone when I entered Canada.

I have been around the world a cpl times, and still travel 4-5 times a year to foreign countries, immigration take one look at my passport and never ask any questions, just say have a nice time, stamp it and hand it back.I think younger and people that don't travel as much, get those questions on arrival..

i had a smashed up peach that i'd totally forgotten about, this caused a 3+ hour delay at the airport. i wanted to be honest. i took 2 peaches from grandmas farm in case i got hungry and you never know what the airlines will feed you. when i returned to the US i remembered that i'd only eaten one. the 2nd was long forgotten on my long flight back. i told the guy 'omg i think i have a peach in the bottom of my backpack. it literally took them over 3 hours to rescan not only my backpack but my checked bag. edit to this day my EU friends call me an 'international fruit smuggler' *facepalm*

When I usually travel overseas, and upon reaching my destination, the first question that the immigration officer ask me is who I am going to stay with. If the resident is well-known to the immigration officer, he/she will stamp my passport and inform me to enjoy my stay. However, if the person is not known, the officer will ask me one or two more questions before letting me in their country. I was never detained though nor I was asked if I had anything to declare.

Excellent video! When travel was starting up again I would put all my Covid vax details & other documents in a plastic clear file folder, so it was easy to find quickly. I'd imagine most border officials appreciate dealing with an organized person especially if they have a huge line of people to get through.😀

When you answer the purpose of your stay, I don’t think you should be hesitant or stammer. It might seem that you are thinking of a lie. You should be clear and direct. Bon voyage.👍😀
