I'm a direct descendent of William Dawes and this made me laugh because William always gets overshadowed by Paul even though William went further😂

what the hell was the point of telling me all theses lies in elementary school. This show blows my mind. They should show this show in schools.

I like the picture of Paul Revere with his hand covering his face in shame at 1:59

My joke: Late in the evening of 18 April 1775 (the battle was 19 April in the morning, so the Rebels were warned the night before), Paul Revere storms into an inn along his famous route. The mostly-intoxicated customers of the inn turn toward the door, to see who the late-comer is. Revere exclaims, "The British are coming! The British are coming!" One of the drunks at the bar looks at him curiously, and states for all to hear, "Idiot! We're all British!" :-)

for the walkthrough american revolution my character was paul revere and he didn't say "the british are comming" he said "the regulars are out" meaning the british red coats

And another thing to mention. They let Paul Revere go, but they kept his horse. For a man that created such a moment in history, the men who arrested him evidently didn't think this was the case, and valued his horse more.

he actually said "the regulars are out!"

I grew up in an amazing town. Our zip code was 01776.
Unfortunately, as a kid I didn't absorb all the history that was at my fingertips.

I lived down the street from the infamous Wayland Inn. And as I was told, I lived along the so called "Paul Revere's ride", and that did carry some weight in my mind. Now that I am much older and no longer live in that area, I'm trying to piece this history together.

I try to get my kids interested in this part of history, but that is a futile attempt. So, luckily I have YouTube to track down the most important part of our history.

What happen to Israel Bissel? He rode the furthest. Paul Revere was remembered because of the poem that was written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow because it rhymes. If it's not for the poem no one would remember Paul Revere.

I heard that Revere was drunk and was captured. He told the british everything and they let him go by morning. It wasn't Revere who warned everyone, it was a little girl. (Idk, that's what I heard, I don't really know what's true anymore -3-)

I watch this at school and my whole class was shock that the story that we were told that Paul made it to Concord and Lexington was all fake. I just. can't believe it. I keep on watching this over and over

He didn't do very well later in the revolutionary war - disliked by his men, insubordinate and incompetent

I think this misses the point entirely. True Paul Revere didn't ride alone and was captured but if he did not make this ride and start spreading the alert in the first place then nothing would have happened. The fact that Prescott was alerted by them was extremely important because he was one of the chief officers of the militia and later fought at Bunker Hill (actually Breed's Hill.) Failure maybe but not entirely.

Seriously that guy at the end Said Paul Revere is a failure because he did not make it to Concord. Well that’s true he did not make it to Concord But Revere Daws and others knew that there had to be more riders in case one of them did get caught and they knew there were British scouts roaming around. Paul revere did his own job he is not a complete failure to me in my book Paul Revere is still a hero. I will also say the same thing with Benedict Arnold I still give him some credit of what he did in the early stages of the war.
