Toyota has gone all in on hybrids and plugin hybrids. So far, it's paying off. While EV sales are up in the US, they aren't being adopted as widely as expected. To me, I found the BMW X5’ and Cayenne look much better, look more stable on the road(wider body) I sold my Porsches and now I have two Tesla. I still have the 2006 RX 330 parked outside with 220k miles with no major issues. May look into the 2024 your test drive RX450h + for our cross country road trip. I will go test drive the x5 and the rx 450h. I had always found the German cars felt more stable on freeway, higher speed driving.

I wondered if it would be possible to move one of the electronic boxes underneath in the trunk to allow for either an inflatable or donut tire to be placed there.. Could any of their mechanics move the electronic to allow a spare tire to be put in if I bought a vehicle?I drive cross country  with my husband across Arizona, Texas and New Mexico and there are miles where there are no close cities.I believe Lexus should stay  with its core mission of reliability and practicality.  I do not need a fancy electronic door handle (where you are locked out if electrical or battery system goes out) or infotainment system where I have to go through 2-3 windows to click on air condition system or fan. I just want simple buttons to get what I need without taking my eyes off the road to look at a screen.  The inflatable  spare tire that Audi has is innovative and practical.  Is lexus planning to ever put in a donut spare tire or smaller tire.

Not a fan of the front. For me the grille is just to big. But, I did like the rest of the car, especially the interior.

I'm with you on those stupid electronic door latches. First, if the battery dies, it's more complicated to get in. Second, for safety reasons, they need to incorporate a mechanical back-up release handle, and for esthetic reasons, they place them in absurd locations so they can't be seen. Just design a more beautiful mechanical handle and call it a day.
