2021 Lexus RX 450h: Is The RX Hybrid Any Good?

Yes, it is worth it! I have a 2020 and it has every option I never wanted and could live without. I really like everyone of them. I took mine on a cross country trip. The ride, handling and power were great. I got over 30 mpg in traffic and around 20 plus if i stayed under 80 mph. I'm very happy with my 2020.

My 400H is a workhorse with 200k ....runs amazing, and I still get great mpg, and the hybrid battery 🔋🔋🔋 lasts....mines 14 years old already running strong AF!

The manual shift mode is not made for that, the purpose is to use a lower gear when going down a hill and use the engine break.

Here is the stupid thing though... The regular RX takes regular gas, and the hybrid takes premium... Any small improvement on mileage you get is canceled by the extra price per gallon... not to mention, a hybrid powerplant is more complex, heavy, expensive, so you're really not gaining from a financial point of view ... Or from a performance point of view ... Or anything really except to say "oh I drive a hybrid"... meh ....

thats my favourite in my RX....closing the door and you shut off the outer world; its always amazing to see all these rubber around the doors....2-4lines. double glass windows

it the same engine ....but the Hybrid runs on Atkinson cyclus with reduced hp for better mileage !!

Should I lease a 2022 RX 450h for $499 with $3999 down and possibly buy it at the end of lease if we like it or should I buy a 2018 RX 450h  for $38999 with 51k miles LOADED with panoramic sunroof etc, etc..???

You sure the ride quality has nothing to do with the fact that this is an F sport version instead of 350 vs 450?

its stupid to use manual shifters i that e-cvt for upshiftuing or "sporty driving ! these shifters are only for setting lower gears when on a long downgrade to improve better enginebraking becaus ethe Hybrid system doesnt do this for you !

I have the regular RX 350, 2020 model and it is a gas guzzler for sure. Also, at 1, 000 miles the center trim piece on the passenger side dash visibly started to detach from the dash. The passenger side front door is also not properly aligned. Disappointed in Lexus. When I mentioned the trim issue the service manager said "that's not really something we could fix here." Done with Lexus!

I so hate the paddle shifters. Leave this cheap shit to the Germans and concentrate on improving the Lexus experience for smart drivers who don't need this kind of gadget.
