Why the Empire Banned Battle Droids? #shoWhen Darth Vader ordered the deactivation of all the droid control ships, all of the galaxy’s battle droids were made useless, but rather than replicate the technology, the Galactic Senate decided on a galaxy wide ban on battle droids. Under class four droids, which also included security droids, gladiator droids, and assassin droids, battle droids and other Separatist technology were useless, compared to the inventions of Director Krennic’s Imperial Weapons Division. The attempt and failure of the dark trooper project, led the Imperial High Command to not trust droids, other than KX series security droids, which needed to be controlled and monitored. Whilst useless to the Empire, the possession of battle droids was seen as a threat, and the Empire would sometime allow worlds have Separatist technology, so they had an excuse to invade them, and built decommissioning facilities, to stop tactical droids falling to the Rebels.
