"we're police officers" no you're strangers with guns, the fact that you're employed as law enforcement agents does not make you NOT a stranger it just makes you a stranger with a gun and a badge, which is infinitely more terrifying as every fear and concern you might have about a stranger's intentions and potential actions is magnified a thousand-fold by the fact that they are armed and carry legal authority

Notice the cop says "we didn't stop you", but if he would have walked away from them when they approached, they would have stopped him.

Pisses me off no end that we have to play their games to be safe from them. Lack of guile gets lots of people in trouble. And that’s wrong!

I work as an ER nurse, so I interact with cops daily with my job. I've worked many locations across the country where patients come in "after a fall" when it's obvious they were abused. These things get ignored, and it's really frustrating. I've also worked places where officers tend to be kind, and respectful, so not all of them are terrible, but many are.
I hadn't been subject to any mistreatment from police until 2 days ago when a trooper in WV retaliated against me because I had the audacity to ask why he stopped me. A simple violation for "looking at my phone" while driving, turned into so much more. I had very little trust for officers before, but now I have zero.

Always ask to remove sunglasses, be respectful towards each other, sincerity and respect is shown from the eyes
Approx 90% of the time they are worn for intimidation or to hide sincerity guilt from the other person.
