One of the funniest things that I found in my research was highlighted during a clip at 23:31. One of the guys doing research on the effects of ultra processed foods on the environment basically said, "Uh... if you want to put a huge dent in climate change and plastic pollution, then maybe you should stop overeating." Ilyssa is out here trying to shame everyone about driving and littering while simultaneously promoting one of the biggest causes of pollution, which is obesity. It is really uncanny how much this girl promotes addictive junk food to her audience. It's pretty much the only type of food she ever talks about or shows herself eating.

Is her next plan to stop pollution to side with electronics companies like Apple or Samsung who are well known for increasing electronics pollution by constantly lobbying against right to repair, engaging in planned obsolescence, and knowingly creating defective products that all have the same design flaws for years like faulty charge ports or bad wiring placement for the monitor? I wouldn't be surprised if I saw her on a soap box telling kids to buy Apple products because they donated a couple of dollars to prevent greenhouse gasses. Meanwhile Apple certified repair shops will have you throw away a laptop that's only a year old because there is some dust in the charge port and it won't charge.

WARNING: MAJOR RANT
This whole drama disappoints and enrages me so much, because I used to be a fan of Illy’s videos. I started watching her videos back when she started getting popular (was won over by her public school food video). I stopped watching her in 2020 due to being interested in other channels, but was won back briefly by her Autism video. I genuinely thought it was one of the most well-researched and informative videos she ever did. At this point, I thought she was one of the best storytime animators on the channel, maybe Odd1Sout but better and more sincere. Looking back, there were some red flags within her videos, but at the time, I didn’t notice them.
And then came her “Perks of Being Fat” video
Even when I watched it for the first time, I found the video to a bit poorly informed, but didn’t think too much of it then, and thought it was in the same vein as her other videos.
And then I saw TBYS’ video, and that was when I truly saw her video for what it really was: a poorly informed, ignorant mess of a video disguised as “fat acceptance” and filled with contradictions.
What truly sealed the deal on my feeling about Illy was her not taking the criticism well and leading a HATE CAMPAIGN against a YouTuber that didn’t do shit. She even had the AUDACITY to try to flag a video and call it “extreme right-wing” when it was really apolitical and just offered constructive criticism to make Illy a better person. That moment right there was when I began to see Illy for who she truly was: a sad, victim-playing child that believes she is right about everything and attacks people that disagree with her.
And looking back, I think Illy’s victim mentality was staring right in our faces the entire time, and we all ignored it back then. It sucks that she was abused by her ex, but goddamnit Illy, you can’t use your trauma as an excuse to cyberbully your perceived enemies. If this is really how you feel, then I’m sorry Illy, but you really are no better than the girls that bullied you back in middle school.
And that all sucks, because again, I used to a big fan of Illy’s videos. That ship has sailed.
She has no one to blame for this but herself.

Only for your patient to reply with "I'm sorry doctor, but I can't because I'm a leftist and I don't appreciate your right wing extremist views of healthy eating".
