These coasters can make you just imagine what could be if Arrow were still open

I'm surprised the stratosphere coaster was that close to being proposed. Not discussing the insane height or assumed roughness, imagine how fast the track would chew up the wheels.

0:58 Judging by the 2013 date on the eBay listing, the model would've been around 15 years old at that point (since it has to predate the actual Superman: Krypton Coaster built by B&M that was opened in 2000). The seller is also listed from Seguin, Texas (a suburb of San Antonio) so it obviously didn't travel very far from the park the coaster was supposed to go in.

If I had to take a guess, after Togo's idea was rejected the model was put into storage at a branch office Togo had in Texas and then ended up in private hands when Togo went bankrupt in 2001 and that branch office shut down as a result. Someone then had it in their private collection for a decade or so, then sold it to the flea market vendor who the eBay seller got it from. This is purely speculative, of course, but it makes sense to me. :)

That figure 8 inversion was gnarly. Hope someone builds that some day

I remember someone on Reddit's Roller Coaster Tycoon-subreddit a few weeks ago modding the game (with OpenRCT) to build something like that Arrow SkySurfer, and one of the notes was that "this has probably never even been thought of in real life".

It’s so sad these really creative and interesting ideas were never made

While the Togo looks awesome just imagine how rough it’ll be...the ride will eventually be destroyed if it existed

These videos about weird/bizarre coasters are my favourite videos of yours (besides the failed series). Please do more! Also: i feel like an inverted wooden coaster would be rough as hell. Probably a good thing it was never built. I love that you included it though

"That ride is gonna be too loud!"
"Fine then, the next two are nothing but terrifying."

Loved the video! I imagine this is a difficult time for a channel based around theme parks when they're all shut down right now. Keep up the good work!

One of the best Top 10 videos I've ever watched, probably due to the research you put in. It felt more like a video essay than a Top 10 video.

This was a surprise in multiple ways.
Of several concepts i havent have even heard of! And they all look amazing, and lets hope at least some of these concepts will be build sometime :)
But the other surprise was that the polercoaster was in spot number 2.
By going blank into this video, I honestly thought that it would take the top spot, but indeed, the number 1 is even crazier than the polercoaster, so well ranked!
And by the way @theme park crazy: Thank you for your video's. I havent subscribed (but i will do it after i finsihed this message) but I have watched a lot of your videos, which gives very nice info for us themepark/coaster/funfair enthousiasts. So again, thank you, and keep em coming!

That Virginia Wheel concept looked pretty fun

I'm pretty sure Alton Towers had plans for a wooden coaster that went from the Ug Land (now Dark Forest) to Forbidden Valley which by making use of terrain would have a drop of about 200ft

I’m glad the see the Coaster in Vegas at #1. I visited Vegas almost every year in the early 00’s and the Stratosphere was one my favorites. I’ve had a chance to ride all the attractions including the coaster, sitting in the front seat of that tilt coaster is super scary. The Sky Hook was supposed to be built again in 07 I think after getting some type of voting passed, but it obviously fell through. They had models in the lobby of it and it looked insane
