In the era of automated manufacturing, such artists are rarely seen now. I like such people a lot. Once I met an old lady from Ladakh who was weaving thread out of wool using a small piece of wood, to manually make small cloth.

In India this instrument is called toombi...I've made one using a metal can, and it works fine...
