The Heart of the Gospel: Love God and Neighbor

The two great commandments work together in complete harmony. Balance and equal devotion to both build our personal spiritual bridge devoted to Heavenly Father. We look upward to love the Lord and outward to love our neighbor.

As we live these commandments, we ensure that our faith remains strong, our hearts are open, and our lives are filled with the love and light of Christ.

What a Blessing to hear this today! I was Baptized some 45 years ago, and I've been to many denominations of Christianity. The only talks/sermons that I've felt The Spirit of The Lord full strength is from the church leadership. A true blessing for us and the world; to have genuine living Prophets and Apostles giving us guidance.

How does one love his neighbor if one doesnot love himself?

Great message 👍 except this doesn't apply if one feels an angel directs them to take property that belongs to their neighbor who already told them that they couldn't have it and justifies the ability for one to cut off their neighbor's head while their blackout drunk in an effort to resolve personal paranoia and lack of faith in God to provide other ways to carry out his plans then by breaking the commandments (e.g. Nephi). If one were to do so...be prepared to have the spirit be removed from them in such a way that a liahona will have to be provided to them for guidance from then on. Argument that what nephi did was lawful is garbage, as there are many legal opportunities available today but which we are commanded not to do.

P.S. this doesn't mean or make the Book of Mormon untrue. This is a solid belief in the book of mormon.
