How to transfer PS4 data to a PS4 Pro

This was so helpful, thanks a lot because in dutch the menu said 'push the activate button on this ps4(the new pro) to start transfering data. So I did and it turned of, I had no idea you had to push it on the old one, thanks a lot!

all you people complaining about how long the process takes need to just use an ethernet cable to transfer your data. It will take no more than an hour. Easy!

I was able to do the direct ethernet transfer and I got 385 gigs transferred in 80 minutes. Didn't work the first time but I reset the old PS4 and tried again. Worked like a charm.

What if you don’t have your previous PS4 (IE: traded the old PS4 to get the PS4 Pro etc.); is there a way to still transfer your data to the PS4 Pro?

Nice, i just did it. I thought first just to connect both ps4 with same ethernet cable lol. Anyways just let you guys know, i did a transfer of 1TB and it took like 119 minutes :D

So if I already have something on my ps4 slim, but I want to transfer everything I had on my regular ps4; all that I already had on my ps4 slim will be erased and replaced with my stuff from my normal ps4?

so connect both ps4s to a Ethernet cable, to start the process to on the old ps4 and to the setting and click transfer data to new ps4 and follow the rest of the directions, something like that
