Rodman was player who didn't care about Shaq size and strength. His mental and looking for challenge were absolutely on enormous level. Rodman was one of the best defenders ever for me.

Rodman was one of very few players who gave Shaq problems. That in itself allows one to understand what Rodman was about. All heart. All hustle. My favorite at the 4.

Rodman is the only player in league history who could defend Iverson all the way upto Shaq. Insanely versatile

he hates him because he was the only one who could shut him down

Dennis learned from the best on how to play hard, physical, and dirty. Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn toughened Rodman up on how to play the game, but the rebounding was all Dennis. During Pistons warm-ups before tip off, everyone would be shooting around except Dennis. He was just watching the ball come out of hands and counting the rotations as it spun in mid air before hitting the rim and watching the delivery of the shooters follow thru to see where that rebound was going. As much as I disliked him as a die hard Celtics fan I gotta say that the man was a crazy genius.

Your opinion is absolutely spot on about today's NBA. In the 90s through mid 00s, it was my favorite sport to watch other than the NFL. Not only because I was a huge Bulls fan but because it was fun to watch. Now I think it's too predictable and disappointing. Rodman was one of the hardest working players and dedicated no matter what he did behind the scenes. If any player played like that today, the NBA would ban him indefinitely from ever playing again. Adam Silver ruined it.

I am sitting here smiling and laughing all the way through.
I hear you. Miss the old battles in the post.

Rodman, a true legacy of the Bad Boys Pistons. Even after he left Detroit he still pulled those dirty tricks on opposing players which drove them nuts.

Rodman was a genius at the mind games. Wasn't afraid to get physical and put on a good act.

I would love to see some of these new players play back in the Bad Boys/Dennis Rodman era.

I'm a lifelong diehard bulls fan since 1983 & I'm forever grateful for the memories & his relentless defense against the big Aristotle would drive him crazy.

I have to say it's hard not to like everyone in your videos just because you put that awesome classic baseline dunk from John Stark's in your intros ... It's players like John Starks and Charles Oakley from my favorite Knicks teams growing up that make me realize how great that era was.

I know this clip was supposed to be about Rodman, but watching those replays just reminded me of how good Shaq was. Continually double and triple teamed, getting hacked to buggery, and the guy was still unstoppable. Everyone talks about the power but the guy had incredible instincts and a great basketball mind as well as solid post and a deft touch around the rim. One of the all time greats.

It's kinda psycho how Rodman never appeared upset or bothered....

I’d definitely say Shaq was jealous of him as he mentioned himself.

He was allowed to do as he pleased but still came with results that exceeded most players in the league.

They couldn’t stand how he could make things happen his way compared to what others needed to do to make it happen.

Watching the playoffs right now. The kids today have no idea what they’re missing out on. Nothing but jump shooting and flopping. Any time there’s contact the player is on the ground wincing in agony. No toughness or grit. Game is so soft.

Yes, those days were definitely classic. I’m glad to be alive those days especially the Jordan Chicago vs every other team rivalries.

The thing about him not liking Dennis Rodman doesn't really make me like Shaq anymore. Shaq obviously he's one of the greatest centers of all time. But can Shaq honestly sit there and say he was the best teammate and that people didn't despise him in the locker room? All that crap and drama he had with Kobe because he saw a young and upcoming Superstar and he threw a massive tantrum about it. Which then turned the locker room into a complete toxic cesspool. Rodman showed up even at the tail end of his career gave them 10 to 20 rebounds and helped shut down some of the better players and was still a force of nature. I dont want to hear that crap from Shaquille O'Neal.

Those were some great basketball moments, by great basketball players when the rules didn't impede the game.
