To the best of my knowledge, MatPat isn't actually completely quitting the channel. He's just stepping down from his role as host. He mentions in the video (in the "Babe Wake Up, They Announced MatPat DLC" section) that he's still going to work on videos behind the scenes, and he's still going to appear on GTLive until at the *very least* late summer.
