Oh my gosh! They should've left this in the movie! It's absolutely beautiful and peaceful. However I do understand why they cut it out. They cut because it would've dragged Aladdin's scene going into the cave of wonders. Regardless, this song is beautiful. I plan to sing it to my child someday

i respect your opinion, its a great duet that deserved being in the movie, however, it would've dragged the pace of aladdin's capture to the cave of wonders

They should've played this song instead of the reprise that aladdin sung after jasmine returned to her home. Since they both know the song, I guess it is some kind of a lullaby their parents sung for them? So why not reminisce those times with their parents (since aladdin is an orphan and jasmine is motherless) to emphasize that even though they are worlds apart, they still experiences the same things and thus, worthy of each(?). I would also really like a kid jasmine and aladdin. Anyways, this is because some comments say that it got cut because it delays the scene of the cave of wonders so why not move it to a different scene.

Edit: Also since the reprise also talks about aladdin's worth despite being street rat
