3 Days and Nights ALONE in San Francisco!! (FIRST TIME)

Hello!

In June, 2024, I was able to FINALLY visit San Francisco! This was my first time in the city, and I only had 3 days, and nights, to do everything I’ve been dreaming of.

I planned everyday out to ensure I saw everything I wanted to! I was able to visit Alcatraz, the Golden Gate bridge from SEVERAL view points, the Palace of the Fine Arts, Vineyards, Downtown, Pier 39, and MORE. I genuinely had such a busy and well manicured trip. It was the first time I’ve ever planned something to that scale, and it went better than I could have imagined.

I hope you are planning a trip to San Francisco if you haven’t been!! It was such an amazing experience. I loved the utopian charm and energy the city had. It was definitely unlike any other place I’ve been to!!

ALSO! I do recognize the privilege I have as a white man and the safety that brings. I do believe you can travel alone and still be safe! There’s a few simple rules to follow to maintain safety: Avoid being out at night (ESPECIALLY ALONE), stay alert always, plan things that involve other tourists or “witnesses”, RESEARCH where you are going/staying. Definitely remember that traveling in general can become very unsafe very quickly!! There’s also so much reward will breaking barriers and exploring!!

Safe travels!!!

Nate

Cool trip! When I worked at Microsoft I traveled to in San Jose many times. It's easy to get to the city, so I spent quite a bit of time there. Love San Francisco. Glad you had a good time! My favorite place to hang out there was in Castro Street area. But Ghirardelli was my 2nd favorite! Glad you enjoyed your time there. Peace.

Wow looks like fun and you picked a great time to be in San Francisco weather wise it appears. I'm from the East Bay Area and have been to everywhere you went many times and miss it now. I moved to the Sacramento suburbs back in 2003. Good video thank you

Sounds like a fun trip! I went recently for a work trip but mainly just hung out in the Castro district. I love the Palace of Fine Arts since it is Naboo HAHA.

I am curious, based on your cats name are you a trekkie?

P.S. Since you now live in WA. When in Seattle, the UW/University Village Apple store is a must. It was my favorite. It was kind of a mix of Scandanavian and Japanese modern vibes.

My next trip is a 3 week solo Japan trip and I am so excited!!!

I first visited Gay Mecca in 1999, I was solo too. I recall having lunch on Castro and my waiter was like "You're from the northeast, aren't you?" I was like "Ya, how did you know?" "You asked for gravy on your fries." lol
