Loved this book! Did a review of it on my channel too. I thought the chapter on the media/partisans feedback loops was the most interesting.
I love history books and I always find that journalists write more readable histories. The Righteous Mind looks really good and I’ll have to check it out as well. Klein’s book made me want to check out Nixonland by Rick Perlstein but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

Really enjoyed your review of this book. Great in-depth discussion. It had been on my radar, but I think you've convinced me to actually read it!

I cannot imagine a founder of Vox having anything worth listening to to say on the subject of why we're polarized. I mean come on. Vox is and has been actively engaged in promoting that polarization. Polarizing people is how Ezra Klein makes a living. It's how he gets the clicks to sell advertising. When the economic model of journalism is selling outrage, why would I go to a journalist for a reasoned and balanced analysis on why we're polarized? It's kind of like the tobacco companies that put out those scientific studies that smoking wasn't bad for your health. Come on.
